About Elli

I’m a dedicated individual currently studying a degree in Musical Theatre, with a strong academic foundation in English Literature. I’ve always been a creative person who is fascinated by storytelling and the ways literature can shape our understanding of the world. My goal is to share this enthusiasm with students of all ages, making literature both fun and accessible. Though I’m new to formal tutoring, my background in performance, combined with my love for reading and analysing texts, gives me a unique ability to engage students in an exciting and creative way. I believe in making learning interactive and enjoyable, helping students develop their confidence, critical thinking, and writing skills.

About the lesson

I believe learning should be enjoyable, especially when it comes to a subject as rich and exciting as English Literature. My approach will be interactive and student-centred, focusing on making each lesson engaging and relevant to the individual’s interests and learning style. I will use a variety of techniques, including discussions, creative activities and multimedia resources, to bring texts to life and help students connect with literature in a meaningful way. I aim to foster a love for reading and critical thinking while developing essential skills in analysis and writing. Typically, tutoring lessons last about 60 minutes, but I’m happy to adjust the duration based on the student's needs and attention span. For younger students, shorter sessions with more frequent breaks are often effective, while older students can handle longer, more in-depth sessions. Although I don't have formal tutoring experience, I have a strong background in English Literature through my academic studies, including A-levels and my current degree in Musical Theatre. I'm passionate about helping others explore literature and develop skills in analysis, writing, and critical thinking; my genuine enjoyment for collaboration and working with people is what drove me to start tutoring! My lessons are perfect for students of all ages looking to improve their understanding of literature, whether they need help with coursework, exam prep, or just want to have fun exploring books.
