About DaNae
Hello and welcome to my little corner on this platform! My name is DaNae, which sounds similar to the popular molecule responsible for our uniqueness- "DNA". I hold a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry with over 12 years of experience in scientific research and 3 years in teaching.
During my postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), I was an IRACDA Fellow that I received rigorous pedagogical training. I have taught college-level courses including Cell Biology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and Introduction to Neuroscience at UCSD.
Recently, my passion for teaching and science outreach led me the Philippines where I taught General Biology and Practical Research courses to high school students. I am passionate about helping students succeed by strengthening understanding and making complex topics approachable.
