About Adam
I am a patient and encouraging tutor with years of experience teaching and tutoring at UC San Diego. I recently graduated from UC San Diego with a PhD in biochemistry. During my PhD, I taught a variety of classes in chemistry and biology and also served as a tutor for chemistry, biology, and ACT. Currently, I work as a scientist at a biotech start up in Houston. I moved to Houston a year ago with my partner who is a resident at UT Houston Medical School. I am looking for new students as I begin the next chapter in my career.

As a teacher, I like to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable challenging themselves. I love tackling tough problems and concepts with students, and breaking them down step by step. My favorite part of teaching is the moment when an apprehensive student realizes that they are capable of learning challenging material. I have a calm demeanor and an enthusiasm for teaching that helps me to provide a productive but low-stress learning experience for my students.
