About Zahra

I am currently a PhD candidate in Biomedical Sciences and hold a double Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have a broad understanding of different career paths and, in addition to math, I can guide students in making informed decisions about their academic and future career choices.

I have teaching experience across multiple countries, which has given me a strong ability to adapt to different learning styles and cultural backgrounds. This international experience allows me to connect easily with students and tailor my teaching to suit their individual needs, whether they require a more structured, step-by-step approach or a focus on building confidence.

I am particularly attentive to areas where students struggle and work to break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps.

My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and actively engaging with the material, leading to steady and lasting improvement.

About the lesson

- I have 12 years of experience teaching Leaving Cert mathematics. My approach is focused on clarity, structure, and building confidence. I break down complex topics into simple, step-by-step explanations and adapt each lesson to the student’s level and pace. I emphasize understanding over memorization, combined with regular practice using past Leaving Cert exam questions and marking schemes.

- I have a double degree master's in engineering and am currently a PhD candidate in Biomedicine
- A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, though longer sessions can be arranged if needed.

My lessons are designed for Leaving Cert students (Higher, Ordinary and Foundation Level) who want to improve their understanding, confidence, and exam performance.
