About Jillian
I have a Bachelor’s degree in education and teaching from Texas A&M University in 2016. I completed my Master’s in social work in 2018 and I am a current social work PhD candidate at Baylor University. I am currently working on my dissertation research. However, I have published a commentary article and I am currently working on a qualitative research article. I have extensive experience in peer reviewing academic writing and love assisting others during the writing process to help them improve their projects.

My teaching methods for academic writing are based on my accumulative years of essay, technical and research writing. My lessons look at the basics of academic writing for the social sciences and psychology. Other types of papers can also be considered based on the students’ needs (i.e. literature reviews, commentary essays, and research reports). For individuals, I will tailor my wiring instruction to the student’s specific needs and writing goals. My class will help with learning how to research your chosen topic, outline your paper and begin the writing and editing process. I have multiple resources I use to help guide my writing instruction such as the most recent APA 7 instructional manual.
