About Erica
I’m a PhD student in social sciences researching into narratives of intimate partner homicide and violence. I have studied both Criminology and Psychology for the past 5 years consistently, covering a range of topics. I’m new to tutoring, however throughout my courses I have personally helped many of my friends and classmates with their assignments and understanding topics.

My teaching method is very much individually based. My intention is to tutor people who are struggling with certain topics within their Criminology and/or Psychology courses so that there is a starting point, however if someone is interested in learning a vast range of topics within either of these fields I will be able to provide this.
I’m very patient and have loads of analogies to hand when it comes to explaining things in simpler terms. I know from experience these topics can be challenging, but I’m confident I can create a clearer understanding.
To give an example in my method of tutoring: if someone came to me with an assignment question and no clue on how to begin or what is asking of them, I would teach them the things I know about the topic, and would provide them with articles, books and research to look at in their own time in order to gain a better understanding. If confusion was still apparent, we would work through the problems one by one.
