About Francesca
I'm Francesca :) currently in my third year of a PhD, and my main goal as a tutor is to help people truly understand their subject, not just memorize facts. I get that sciences can sometimes feel daunting or overwhelming, but I’m here to break things down in a clear and approachable way so you can build real confidence and enjoy learning. When I’m not tutoring or working on my research, you’ll often find me out surfing — it’s my favorite way to unwind and recharge. I believe that balance and a positive attitude make a big difference in overcoming challenges. With several years of experience supporting learners at different levels, I’m patient, approachable, and professional. I tailor each session to your individual needs and make sure you feel supported every step of the way. I’m excited to help you reach your goals and make learning both effective and enjoyable!

I believe the key to learning science is true understanding, not just memorization. In my lessons, I take the time to break down complex ideas into simple concepts and tailor my explanations to how each student learns best. I have experience teaching university-level tutorials, workshops and lab classes in biology and chemistry, and I offer lessons for high school and university students both online and in-person. Lessons typically run for one hour, and I aim to create a supportive, flexible space where students feel confident asking questions and genuinely enjoy learning.
