About Michael
I’m a math and physics student and aspiring teacher with experience tutoring students with a range of abilities and confidence levels. Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy and I'm super passionate about.
I think it's also important to note that I'm just a regular guy. I love my family and friends, play hockey and love sports, love meeting new people and find the find passion in an array of topics. As a tutor I want to help my students so that they are able to succeed, and with the confidence of success comes the ability to enjoy life just a bit more.

Math and physics can feel intimidating, and as someone studying both, I know the frustration and pain that can come with a difficult concept. What I have also learned is that sometimes, all it takes is someone explaining it in everyday language.
Through tutoring a wide variety of students, including those struggling to pass, I’ve seen how complicated explanations can be overwhelming and get in the way of understanding. Struggling with a subject doesn’t mean you aren’t smart or capable—it means no one has explained it in a way that you understand yet.
My goal is to make math and physics feel less overwhelming and to show that every student is intellectually capable of understanding these crazy topics. With clear explanations, patience, and encouragement, I will very passionately help students build their understanding and confidence to be able to tackle problems themselves.
I can tutor any level of math from grades 7 to 12, as well as any high school physics course. If you have any questions about the way I teach or about my philosophy on the most effective way to teach math and science, please don't hesitate to reach out and ask :)
