About Daniel
I was employed by the University of Bristol, where I tutored a class of second-year physics students. I was hired on the basis of academic success and the strength of my communication. I have also tutored maths to both primary and secondary school students.
I have a great passion for teaching and helping students learn to think critically and become expert problem solvers. Previous students (at university) have said that my love for physics and maths shines through, with my sessions allowing them to find studying these subjects an enjoyable and enriching experience.

My tutoring style involves tailoring of lessons to meet the specific needs of students and significant preparation. My lessons are focused on understanding. I hope to provide knowledge and guidance, with an emphasis on engagement through frequent questioning to develop and confirm understanding. With the right prompts and appropriate questions, students crystallise their understanding through their ability to explain concepts and problems in words. I believe this makes the most of the sessions, allowing the student to later solidify their understanding through tackling further problems outside the sessions. Where appropriate, I also focus on familiarity with exam mark schemes.
