About Valentina

With 11 years of teaching and professional experience, I am a dedicated Piano tutor who enjoys guiding students through their musical journey. I teach piano to school and college students and believe in the value of education through music.

A major milestone in my career was understanding how personalised teaching can make learning easier and more enjoyable. This helped me create lessons that suit each student’s strengths and challenges.

I focus on essential skills such as hand technique, rhythm, coordination, and music reading. I also introduce basic music theory to help students understand the structure of music.

I take pride in helping students progress from beginner level to confident playing. Many students I have taught gained confidence and motivation through music.

My teaching style is encouraging, patient, and organised. I support students at every step and help them build consistent practice habits. Teaching piano allows me to inspire students to grow musically and personally.

About the lesson

I believe learning piano is more than just practising notes—it’s about building confidence, creativity, and a deep understanding of music. My teaching focuses on clear communication, ensuring that every student understands techniques, music theory, rhythm, and expression in a simple and practical way. I adapt each lesson to suit the student’s learning style, whether they are visual learners, auditory learners, or hands-on learners, so every student can progress at their own pace.

I bring lessons to life through real-life examples and case studies, like analysing popular songs, exploring classical masterpieces, or examining music used in movies and daily life. This approach helps students see the relevance of what they learn and keeps them motivated to practise.

In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, improvisation, and basic composition, giving students a well-rounded musical foundation. My goal is to help students not only develop technical skills but also express themselves creatively, enjoy the learning process, and gain the confidence to perform in front of others.
