About Jules
With over 5 years of experience teaching piano, I specialise in helping college students grow as musicians in both skill and creative expression. My teaching approach is flexible, student-centred, and tailored to each learner’s goals, pace, and interests.
I combine traditional piano techniques with innovative methods such as improvisation exercises, music composition, interactive sight-reading, and blending classical with modern pieces. I emphasise building strong technical skills, understanding music theory, developing rhythm, and preparing for confident performances.
I also focus on nurturing creativity, musical interpretation, and personal expression. I aim to create a supportive, inspiring, and motivating environment where students feel empowered to explore, perform, and enjoy music. My ultimate goal is to help students develop technical mastery, a unique musical voice, and a lifelong passion for piano.

My piano teaching methodology focuses on creativity, guidance, and responsibility. I believe learning piano should build both skill and confidence.
Creativity is developed through interactive lessons, improvisation, and exploring different music genres. Students are encouraged to express themselves and enjoy every step of learning.
As a mentor, I guide students to think critically about music. I explain rhythm, technique, scales, chords, and musical expression in a simple, practical way. Students learn to analyse their playing and improve independently.
Accountability is emphasised through goal setting, structured practice routines, and regular progress tracking. This helps students stay disciplined, motivated, and confident in their learning journey.
In addition to piano, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, keyboard basics, and basic composition to support long-term musical growth.
