About Olivia
"Earning a Master of Music in Vocal Studies and a BM in Piano Performance from the Peabody Institute provided the technical foundation for my teaching. 401 students have walked through my studio doors since I began my career 13 years ago. My lessons lean into the skills I sharpened during my time at the Peabody Institute, such as sight transposition and ear training.
I naturally integrate piano into my vocal coaching because I am an accompanist at heart. You might notice that I prioritize posture and hand position, as these are the mechanics that prevent fatigue later on. My teaching style is quite playful, keeping things light even when we tackle complex sight-playing or rhythm exercises.

I guide you through the intricacies of hand placement and ear training while ensuring you understand the theory behind every note. Whether we are prepping for ABRSM or Trinity exams, I provide the structure needed to navigate complex musical passages with ease. You will develop the ability to transpose music on the fly and offer confident accompaniment for your own musical projects. My perspective as a recent BFA graduate allows me to empathize with the pressure of performance and the joy of mastering a difficult sequence.
