About Ivy
My interest in piano began with a love for melody and structured music. I pursued this passion by completing a Master's Degree in Piano Performance. Over the past 7 years, I have worked with students at different levels, helping them build confidence and musical skills. Teaching allows me to guide learners in a meaningful way.
My teaching style is calm, clear, and adaptable. I believe every student learns differently, so I adjust my approach to match their needs. I focus on step-by-step guidance, steady improvement, and creating a comfortable learning environment. Students are encouraged to practice regularly and enjoy learning.
Outside teaching, I continue practicing and exploring different styles of music. This helps me bring fresh ideas into lessons. Teaching piano is meaningful to me because I see students grow in both skill and confidence. Helping them enjoy music is something I truly value.

My piano lessons focus on building strong basics while keeping learning simple and enjoyable. I guide students through finger placement, hand coordination, rhythm control, and note reading using clear methods. Each lesson is designed to help students feel comfortable with the instrument. I include scales, exercises, and song practice to support steady progress. Students are encouraged to listen carefully and understand how music works. This helps them build confidence step by step.
Lessons are planned based on the student’s level and goals. Beginners start with basic notes, simple rhythms, and easy songs. Intermediate learners improve coordination, reading skills, and musical expression. Advanced students focus on performance, dynamics, and more complex pieces. Each lesson includes guided practice and feedback. This keeps students motivated and consistent.
Learning piano also supports focus and creativity. Students become more disciplined and expressive over time. Many gain confidence as they improve their playing. My goal is to make piano learning a positive and rewarding experience. Students learn to enjoy music deeply while improving their skills.
