About Ivy
I have 11 years of experience teaching piano, supported by a Bachelor’s in Piano Performance and a Master’s in Music Education. My journey began with a deep love for music and a strong desire to share it with others. Over the years, I have guided many students from beginner level to confident performers.
My teaching style is patient and flexible. I believe every student learns at a different pace, so I adjust my lessons to match their needs. I use simple explanations, structured exercises, and regular feedback to help students improve. I also create a comfortable learning space where students feel confident and supported.
Outside of teaching, I continue to practice and explore music. This helps me bring new ideas into my lessons. Teaching piano is meaningful to me because I see students grow in both skill and confidence. Helping them enjoy music and feel proud of their progress is what makes my work fulfilling.

My piano lessons focus on building a strong and comfortable foundation for every student. I start with finger independence, note reading, and rhythm training using simple exercises. I guide students step by step so they understand each concept clearly. I also include coordination exercises for both hands to improve control. Each lesson is calm and structured, allowing students to learn steadily and feel confident in their progress.
As students improve, I introduce chords, dynamics, phrasing, and expressive playing. We also work on duet playing and rhythm patterns to improve timing and listening skills. I include both technical practice and musical pieces to keep lessons interesting and balanced. Lessons are always adjusted based on the student’s level so they can grow without feeling overwhelmed.
My goal is to help students become confident and expressive piano players. I support them in understanding music deeply, not just playing notes. Over time, students develop better control, rhythm, and expression. I create a positive environment where they feel encouraged to improve, explore their abilities, and enjoy their musical journey fully.
