About Lauren
"I teach because music is the most vibrant language I know. You deserve a teacher who notices the tiny details that turn a simple piece into a masterpiece. My life revolves around the intersection of classical precision and the freedom of pop styles.
Having performed in musical theater for 12 years and taught for 13, I find that piano often becomes the center of a musician's creative world. I have worked with 210 students ranging from young children to busy professionals.
My Nashville studio is where I help intermediate learners find their unique voice on the keys. It is a pleasure to watch you grow. I look forward to seeing where your musical curiosity leads you in our future sessions."

"The first meeting starts with the soft click of the metronome and the feel of weighted keys under your fingers. We explore pedaling technique and the logic of scales and arpeggios right from the start.
My BMus Vocal Performance background means that I view piano playing through the lens of a collaborator. I often teach students to sight play and sight transpose with confidence, which makes accompaniment skills feel like second nature.
Ear training and music theory are woven into our weekly routines to build a complete musician. Classical repertoire provides the structure, but we always make room for pop and contemporary songs that you love to hear.
I have spent 13 years refining these methods to suit the needs of busy adults and young students alike. Helping you master a difficult passage is the highlight of my week. I am proud to share my love for this instrument with you."
