About Olivia
I have 7 years of experience teaching piano and hold a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Music Pedagogy. My teaching spans classical, jazz, and contemporary repertoire, allowing me to guide students through technical development, musical expression, and creative exploration. I have taught learners from beginners to advanced performers, supporting each to develop technical accuracy, expressive range, and performance readiness.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes patience, encouragement, and individualized attention. I create lessons that are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s learning style and interests. Students are supported to explore creativity while steadily improving technical skill and musical understanding.
Outside teaching, I continue performing, exploring new repertoire, and studying pedagogy to enhance my lessons with fresh insights. Supporting students as they grow into skilled, expressive, and confident pianists is deeply fulfilling. My goal is to help each learner discover the joy, discipline, and expressive power of piano music.

My piano lessons focus on building a solid technical foundation while nurturing expressive and creative playing. Lessons include finger independence, scales, arpeggios, sight-reading, rhythm training, improvisation, and musical interpretation. I use structured exercises, guided improvisation, and repertoire exploration to help learners develop technical skill, musical understanding, and confidence. Students are encouraged to connect with the music emotionally while maintaining accuracy, technique, and expressive intent.
Lessons are adapted for every skill level. Beginners focus on posture, finger placement, basic note reading, and simple melodies to establish coordination and confidence. Intermediate learners work on complex fingerings, sight-reading, dynamics, phrasing, and stylistic interpretation to refine expression and technique. Advanced learners explore advanced repertoire, improvisation, performance preparation, and nuanced interpretation, preparing for exams, recitals, or creative projects. Feedback, repetition, and encouragement are integral to every session to foster progress and confidence.
Beyond technical proficiency, piano lessons cultivate musical intuition, creativity, and emotional expression. Students learn to interpret music with personality, connect with audiences, and enjoy the process of playing. My goal is to help learners combine technical mastery with artistry, fostering a lifelong appreciation for piano and music in general.
