About Quinn
Hi, I am a piano tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Therapy. I specialize in teaching students with learning differences, sensory sensitivities, and other individual needs. My background in music therapy shapes how I approach every single lesson I teach.
I use visual aids, color-coded systems, and flexible pacing to make piano lessons accessible and enjoyable for every student. Many of my students have not had success in traditional piano lesson settings before working with me. We focus on small, achievable goals, sensory comfort, and genuine enjoyment of making music.
I once worked with a young student on the autism spectrum who had struggled through several previous piano teachers before finding me. We built a completely customized system using color-coded keys and predictable routines, and within months he was proudly playing simple songs for his family. His parents told me it was the first time he truly enjoyed a lesson.
Music should be accessible to everyone, regardless of how they learn best. I would love to help you or your child discover that joy.

My teaching approach is built around accessible, sensory-friendly piano instruction. Every student learns differently, so lessons are adapted closely to each individual's needs and pace. We often use color coded keys, visual aids, and simplified notation to make learning feel approachable rather than overwhelming.
Repetition and predictable structure play a big role in building comfort and consistency during lessons. I break skills into very small steps, celebrating progress at each stage rather than rushing toward a bigger goal. Sensory breaks are built into lessons whenever needed, so students never feel pushed past their comfort level.
Some students need extra time to process new information and benefit from slow, repeated practice of the same small skill. Others respond well to movement and hands on learning, so I incorporate rhythm games and physical cues into their lessons. I offer tailored guidance so every student can genuinely excel in their own way.
Every student deserves a learning environment built around their strengths. Let's find the approach that works best for you.
