About Ariana
Hi, I am a piano tutor with over 9 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology. My passion lies in composing music for film, television, and video games using piano as the creative starting point. I love helping students see the piano as a tool for storytelling, not just performance.
I teach thematic composition, basic orchestration, and practical use of digital audio workstations for media scoring. Many of my students are aspiring composers or piano players curious about writing their own original material. We work on translating emotion into melody, then expanding those ideas into fuller, produced tracks.
I once worked with a student who had strong piano skills but had never composed an original piece in her life. We built a simple three-note theme together, then slowly expanded it into a full orchestral arrangement for a short film project. She later told me it was the first time she truly felt like a composer.

My methodology focuses on composing music for film, television, and media using the piano as a foundation. Students learn how mood and emotion translate directly into musical choices on the keys. We begin with simple thematic writing, since a strong theme is the backbone of most memorable film music.
From there, we explore orchestration basics, learning how a piano idea can expand into a fuller, cinematic sound. Working with digital audio workstations becomes a regular part of lessons, since modern composers rely heavily on this software. I also teach students how to sync music to visual timing, an essential skill for media composition work.
Some students are strong pianists but new to composing original material, so I guide them through small, structured writing exercises to build confidence. Others already write music instinctively but need help translating their ideas into full, produced tracks. I offer tailored guidance so every student can bring their musical ideas to life.
