About Tova
I am a dedicated piano instructor with 9 years of teaching experience and a Licentiate of Music in Piano LMusA qualification. My academic training and performance background shape a thoughtful and disciplined approach to music education. I believe piano study should go beyond playing notes. It should develop expressive musicianship, artistic confidence, and deep understanding.
My philosophy centers on active participation in every lesson. Students are encouraged to think, analyze, listen carefully, and interpret music with personal expression. I combine technical precision with creativity so learners grow in both skill and artistry. Holistic learning is important to me.
Lessons are personalized to suit each student’s goals, pace, and musical interests. I provide strong guidance in music history, theory, sight reading, technique, and performance practice. From beginners building their first scales to advanced performers refining complex repertoire, I have successfully guided learners at every stage. Progress is structured and measurable.

My piano teaching approach is supportive, structured, and fun for both kids and adults. I focus on building strong technique from the beginning. Proper posture, finger strength, hand coordination, and rhythm control are always part of the foundation. Good habits create confident musicians.
I help students develop consistent practice routines that fit their lifestyle and goals. Short focused exercises make practice effective and enjoyable. I use music games for younger learners to build rhythm, note reading, and listening skills in an exciting way. Adults enjoy structured progress with clear milestones.
To keep motivation high, I include backing tracks and play along sessions that make practice feel like a real performance. Students learn a balanced mix of classical pieces and popular music styles. This keeps lessons fresh and inspiring. Creativity is encouraged.
I also work closely with learners who use music as a personal outlet, guiding them to express emotions safely and confidently through the keys. For those who love improvisation and rich harmonies, I provide focused training in chord progressions, swing feel, and expressive phrasing to help them grow musically. Every lesson is encouraging, energetic, and designed to build skill and passion at the same time.
