About Willow
I am a piano tutor with 12 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Collaborative Piano. My teaching approach emphasizes critical thinking, musicality, and learning that is tailored to each student’s unique strengths. I believe that understanding music goes beyond playing notes—it involves theory, ear training, history, and solid technique.
I guide students from Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate levels, as well as those at Professional or Expert stages. Each lesson is designed to challenge and inspire, while keeping learning enjoyable and meaningful. I encourage students to think creatively and explore the emotional depth of music.
My goal is to help every student develop a strong foundation while nurturing their individual musical voice. I focus on holistic growth, combining technical skill with expressive artistry. Through structured exercises, thoughtful repertoire, and attentive guidance, students gain confidence and independence.

My teaching focuses on helping students build musical fluency step by step. I guide them in learning to read music clearly and confidently. Playing expressively is an important part of every lesson. Students also learn to understand musical structure through rhythm drills and finger exercises.
