About Tate
My teaching approach centers around Communication, Empathy, Collaboration, and Integrity, providing a holistic and personalized learning experience for my students. I focus on building a strong teacher-student relationship, where open communication allows for mutual understanding and growth. By empathizing with my students' challenges and goals, I tailor lessons to suit their individual needs and learning styles. I encourage students to actively participate, ask questions, and explore their creativity in every session. Whether learning classical, jazz, or contemporary piano, I provide a balanced mix of theory, technique, and improvisation to foster well-rounded musicianship. With integrity, I ensure that every lesson is conducted with honesty and respect, fostering a safe, supportive environment for students to thrive. Beyond piano, I also offer lessons in relevant subjects like music theory, ear training, and composition, ensuring comprehensive development as musicians.

With over 10 years of experience, I specialize in teaching Piano to students from school to college levels. My teaching style is student-centered, focusing on individual learning needs while fostering a passion for music. I use a blend of traditional techniques with modern methods, ensuring each lesson is engaging, dynamic, and tailored to the student’s pace.
I believe in creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to explore their musical abilities. From mastering basic scales to advanced performance techniques, I guide my students through every step of their musical journey. My lessons incorporate theory, ear training, and improvisation, helping students not only play but also understand and express music creatively.
