About Sebastian

Trinity Rock & Pop Vocal Grade 8.
ABRSM Viola Grade 8.

A decade of experience in vocal coaching, with a focus on pop and rock singing, voice training and style development. Worked in music institutions, schools, and community centres.

Six years of experience in acappella singing and performance. Member of the Groundbreaker acappella team, which placed first in the Sing ON Jam acappella competition in 2020 and was a finalist in the Vocal Asia Festival 2019.

Over a decade of experience in choral singing and choir work. Served as a tenor section leader of the Music Office Youth Choir in Hong Kong, and competed and won various awards in international choral competitions, including the 2014 Sing n Joy Vienna competition and the 2016 Singapore International Choral Festival.

Recent Performances: - Performer in "Om Encounter," a new acappella theatrical production produced by Yat Po Singers in Hong Kong - Acappella performance in (concealed information) Order Now" - Acappella performance in "Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) x Acappella," organized by the Cultural Service Unit and The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups.

One of the founders of Free Voice Studio, promoting pop singing, classical singing, acappella, and beatbox to the public in Hong Kong.

Stop wasting your money in traditional singing methods/lessons. Real actual improvement is waiting for you here and now! Did you spend a lot of money on singing lessons without significant improvement? You heard a lot of terminology from your teachers but it didn't help much? You have learnt from ten teachers, you were expecting something new from them, but they were all talking about chest, head and mixed voice at the end, they are ALL THE SAME, is not it? I know, I have been through there. Somehow you start to doubt is it you are not talented or you are not good enough? There are differences between 'know what' and 'know how'. Great singers sing amazingly, but it doesn't mean they 'know how' to do it.

I am a full time voice trainer/vocal coach who have been working for ten years. I taught in different music institutions, schools and community centres. For years, I have been searching different singing methodologies around the world, so as to find effective ways to improve singing and vocal muscles for people who love singing, like myself. The main methodology I am going to use in my lessons is a unique methodology from Taiwan. The exercises in this methodology directly train our vocal musculature with no harm. You may experience a richer tone quality in your voice in the very first lesson with the exercises! This unique methodology from Taiwan also helps people with difficulties in speaking. It does help vocal rehabilitation from cold, illness or weak vocal muscles.

Music is an art. Love, passion and fun are always important in the learning process. I always encourage my students during lessons. Don't be afraid to fail. Respect and love our own voices! Your voice is PERFECT! We will build a stronger voice together! My passion is to help people who love singing but are frustrated by spending a bunch of money in singing lessons with no significant improvement. I spend numerous hours to search some of the best singing methodologies in the world. My goal is you get what you paid for, GENUINE IMPROVEMENT in singing/voice.
