About Joanne

I am 33 years old, married and we have a son. I love open mics, hot chocolate and dogs. I can play acoustic guitar, keyboard and sing while playing. If that interests you, I'm good at giving constructive feedback about your performance and support with advice and tips to improve your ability and overall delivery. I have a popular music degree so can help music theory if that interests you too as I'm grade 5 certified.

About the lesson

1 hour long at DM studios or online for £40. You sing to me while I play karaoke on my phone through PA system. Another option is I can play keyboard or guitar for you depending on your preference. I give feedback. We discuss songs you like and techniques you'd like to learn. Depending on your ability I will push you a little further each week to broaden your ability and understanding I give you warm ups to practise in the week specific to the lesson. I am Pop music degree educated, 10+ years performing experience at open mics and church leading in bands. Friendly and encouraging demeanour to all ages

Joanne is a highly educated and capable tutor, who can teach you not only how to sing correctly (using various techniques), but also how to look after your vocal chords. She is also gifted at song writing and stage performance and has taught me how to convey this when singing songs and bringing out my own voice (I mimicked singers and their songs verbatim beforehand). I would recommend Joanne as I've not had a disappointing lesson and it's always fun!
