About Ruy
I am a Brazilian native from Belém do Pará, in the Amazon region, my mother was a Portuguese teacher for over 20 years, always taking me to Portuguese festivals and events, places where I found myself in direct contact with the language, writing poems and reciting them, I try to associate language learning with everyday events present in my life and on the students aswell, my objective is also to promote the Amazon region and its beauties, bringing its customs and traditions to the class, thus creating a two-way street, where the student not only learns the language, but also gets to know a culture so diverse and exciting that it will bring not only a passion for Portuguese, but also for the Amazon region, its people and its traditions.
