About Lily
I am a dedicated piano tutor with 16 years of experience teaching students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. I enjoy helping students learn music in a structured and comfortable way. My teaching method focuses on communication, flexibility, and step-by-step learning.
I customise my lessons based on each student’s needs and pace to ensure steady progress. I focus on building strong basics such as rhythm, note reading, and finger control before moving to advanced topics. In addition to piano, I teach music theory, ear training, and rhythm practice to help students gain a deeper understanding of music.
My strength is simplifying complex topics into easy steps. I help students improve their confidence, technique, and consistency, and guide them in developing effective practice routines. I aim to create a supportive and motivating learning environment.

Creativity is a key part of my approach. Students are encouraged to improvise, compose, and explore different musical styles, which helps them develop artistic confidence and a personal musical voice. Flexibility ensures lessons are adapted to the student’s pace, skill level, and preferred learning style, fostering steady progress and enjoyment.
Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This methodology strengthens technical mastery, expressive ability, and musical understanding. My aim is to nurture confident, skilled, and lifelong musicians.
