About Roko
I am an experienced ESL tutor with 10 years of teaching High School and College students, helping around 150–200 students achieve their language goals. My teaching philosophy is centred on communication and active learning.
I believe students learn best when they are involved in the lesson, so I use discussions, role plays, and practical exercises to keep them engaged. I also focus on building confidence, especially for students who are shy or unsure about speaking English. I provide clear guidance and encourage students to practise regularly. I adapt my teaching approach to suit individual learning styles, ensuring that each student receives the support they need.
One of my proudest achievements is seeing students become confident speakers and improve their academic performance. I am committed to helping students succeed in both their studies and daily communication.

My teaching approach for ESL focuses on creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability. I design lessons that are interactive and meaningful so students can stay engaged and motivated. I use creative methods like storytelling, role-play, and real-life examples to make learning effective and enjoyable.
I encourage students to think critically by asking open-ended questions and giving them opportunities to express their ideas. This helps them build confidence and improve their communication skills.
As a mentor, I provide continuous support and guidance. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to match their learning needs and pace. I create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable and motivated.
I also emphasise accountability by setting clear goals and tracking progress. I provide regular feedback to help students improve step by step.
Along with ESL, I teach related subjects to support overall development. My aim is to help students become confident communicators and independent learners.
