About Nicholas
I have built my career as a teacher by encouraging students to think, to question and to become the best of themselves. As a tutor, I bring a wide knowledge of the 11+, school entrance and KS2 curriculum and an ability to develop and nurture pupils so that they are equipped with the confidence and skills that they need for the future. I am a passionate believer in the power of a positive mindset and I teach pupils that mistakes are steps to success.

At the heart of my tuition is a nurturing, child-centred approach which meets the needs of every pupil and a desire for every pupil to grow in confidence and success. Whether learning fractions or developing essay writing skills, I teach pupils to master the steps to success and not just the answer. I have over 25+ years as a classroom and subject specialist teacher in both the state and independent sectors in Key Stages 1, 2 and 3. I offer tuition in English, Maths and Science to 11+. Reasoning skills at 11+ and Senior School Entry and History, Geography and RE at 13+. I have a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Winchester and I hold a TQ UK Level 2 qualification in Autism. I am an experienced ISI inspector. Lessons typically last for 1 hour.
