About Katherine
Hi everyone! My name is Katherine and I am a primary school teacher based in Dublin.
I have been teaching piano, fiddle and tin whistle to students in the South Dublin area for the past three years, and I currently have availability to take on new students for the upcoming academic year.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Education, specializing in Music Education, and have completed up to Grade 8 with the RIAM in both piano and violin. I play both classical and traditional music, so I am happy to tailor lessons to the style and interests of each student. I am currently taking on complete beginners or students who already have some knowledge of their instrument.
Lessons are available after school and are based in South Dublin. I am happy to travel to your home or conduct lessons online via Zoom.

As a primary school teacher with a specialism in Music Education, I am very experienced in working with young children. I teach musical instruments to students from the age of 5 upwards.
I aim to make each lesson enjoyable for my students while helping build confidence and skill with their chosen instrument. I ensure that each lesson is tailored to meet the individual abilities and interests of my students.
I have a particular passion for traditional music, but also have a strong background in classical music, having completed all 8 grades in both violin and piano. I can teach students up to Grade 8 level on both instruments.
