About Rob

I am a 25-year-old male that is from Newcastle Upon Tyne, England and I am returning back home in March. I have experience teaching and tutoring English to children in South Korea. I am TEFL qualified and have 4 years experience teaching. I love sports, music, art and taking care of our planet. Everyone needs support in different areas of life and I would love to help anyone that is struggling with their learning, mental health or current environment too. I am currently learning how to identify plants, trees, fungi and different classifications of animals in my spare time. I will cater to your learning needs and I promise you that you will laugh and have fun in the process :)

About the lesson

My lessons are fun, physical and use overlearning as a method for knowledge to stick. I believe in student-centred approaches that are personalised and use other areas of the curriculum to support learning. Your learning needs to be memorable, creative and long-term. To do this, you need lessons that are small steps, direct and imaginative. Effective learning time shouldn't exceed 30 mins in my opinion. Online learning makes concentrating harder and I fully understand the barriers involved with it. Making learning interactive and full of dialogue will aid learning. I have 4 years experience teaching in primary schools and I am up to date with current educational methods, research and strategies. So I won't be using outdated methods! A lot of my teaching training involved teaching online via Zoom. I also have a physical education specialism alongside my teaching qualification. My English lessons are for any age. I am able to teach any of the primary curriculum too in other subject areas if required. My lessons will use other areas of the curriculum to ensure that learning is understood, connectable and deeper.
