About Zakya
I am a 15 year old student, currently in my sophomore year of high school. Math is a subject that I never really struggled in. I understand that sometimes when a Math teacher explains how to solve math problems it is always confusing in one way or another. I found that when I can help by demonstrating or communicating an easier way to solve and understand a problem, my peers tend to understand the lesson better and complete work faster. I used to be my teacher(s) go to student when another student needed help, however Covid-19 has changed so much! Now I am happy to help other students all online!

My approach as a tutor for young ones is by making it fun. I like to use methods that I know will help students remember problems such as rhymes, fun shortcuts, and using props. As a tutor for young ones, I like to stay enthusiastic and show patience.
My approach as a tutor for older students is to guide you through the problem while communicating with you where specific numbers came from, where they should go and why, what you genuinely need to label to get your answer and what you don't, and helping you overall understand the basic steps to solving different math problems. Although it seems like my approach takes a lot, It does not; I tend to simplify a teacher's way of teaching being that they can give you so much extra information that you will never use when solving a problem.
