About David
I've been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over 14 years and currently hold a three-stripe brown belt. Along the way, I've also trained in Judo, Wrestling, Boxing, MMA, Taekwondo, and Karate—but BJJ and grappling are where my heart truly lies.
I started coaching early in my blue belt days, helping newer students and filling in for instructors. Eventually, I took over teaching a recurring class for over a year, developing lesson plans and working with everyone from day-one beginners to advanced practitioners.
What drives me isn't competition—I've only done a handful of tournaments. What I truly love is helping people discover how their own bodies move and find techniques that actually work for them. I believe there's no "right" way to do jiu-jitsu; there's only your way, and my job is to help you find it.
I've worked with kids, teens, and adults of all ages and backgrounds. My style is patient, supportive, and focused on safety. Whether you're completely new or have years of experience, I'll meet you where you are and help you grow at your own pace.
Off the mats, I enjoy traveling with family. I look forward to training with you!

My lessons are tailored to you—not a one-size-fits-all curriculum. I start every new student with an assessment session to see how you move naturally in guard, side control, and basic escapes. From there, I build a plan that addresses your specific gaps while reinforcing what already feels natural to you.
Each session includes targeted drills, live application, and a clear takeaway to practice on your own. I work with all ages (kids, teens, and adults) and all experience levels. Whether you're brand new or looking to refine your game, my goal is to help you move better, think smarter, and enjoy the process.
Safety, patience, and a supportive environment are always my priority. You'll leave each session with something you can actually use—not a list of moves to forget.
