My methodology is pretty simple, unlike any rocket science. What I believe is before teaching a topic, student should know why he/she has is learning/studying it. Secondly what I think is every teacher should start a topic from zero level, just to insure that the teacher is filling all the past gaps/misunderstanding of his/her student.
