About Andrii
I began my ballet training at the age of 4 at the Kharkiv Ballet School in Ukraine, where I studied for 11 years. In 2013 I was awarded a scholarship to the prestigious Ellison Ballet Training Program in New York, graduating with honors in 2016. That same year I won 1st place at the Youth America Grand Prix in both the Boston semi-finals and the New York City finals, which led to my invitation to join the American Ballet Theatre. Since then, I have built my career at ABT, starting with the Studio Company and later being promoted to the Main Company. Over the years I have danced a wide range of principal, soloist, and featured roles including von Rothbart in Swan Lake, Espada in Don Quixote, Hilarion in Giselle, Prince Gremin in Onegin, Paris in Romeo and Juliet, Polycharmus in Of Love and Rage, and many more. My repertoire also includes contemporary works such as Petite Mort, Songs of Bukovina, Deuce Coupe, and Bernstein in a Bubble. As a performer, I have had the privilege of appearing on some of the world’s most renowned stages, including the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, as well as international tours to Hong Kong, Singapore, Spain, Portugal, and China. In addition to my performing career, I am a certified teacher of the ABT National Training Curriculum (Pre-Primary to Level 3). I have taught private ballet lessons as well as group classes in local schools, working with students of all levels—from young beginners to pre-professional dancers. I have also been invited as a guest teacher at Valentina’s School of Ballet. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with others, helping students not only develop strong technique but also discover artistry and joy in dance. Fun fact: I speak 4 languages (English, Ukrainian, Russian, and Italian). You choose which language you prefer for the class.

As a current dancer with American Ballet Theatre, I bring the knowledge, discipline, and artistry of one of the world’s leading ballet companies directly into my teaching. My training began at the Kharkiv Ballet School in Ukraine and continued on full scholarship at Ellison Ballet in New York before I joined ABT in 2016. Since then, I have performed leading, soloist, and featured roles such as von Rothbart in Swan Lake, Espada in Don Quixote, Paris in Romeo and Juliet, and more at the Metropolitan Opera House and major theaters worldwide. In my classes, I focus not only on the correct technique of every movement but also on style, musicality, and stage presence—helping students dance in a way that is both technically strong and captivating for the audience. My experience at ABT allows me to break down complex steps into simple, effective imagery and provide personalized corrections that bring fast results. I can help you improve your extensions, turnout, pirouettes, jumps, and footwork, while also giving you strengthening and stretching exercises to work on outside of class. My teaching approach is always positive and encouraging because I believe motivation and joy are the keys to lasting improvement. So, to sum up, you can study with me: 1. Ballet classes (beginners, intermediate, advanced) 2. Ballet repertoire and variations 3. Pointe work 4. Jumps and turns technique 5. Floor barre and strengthening exercises 6. Stretching and flexibility training Lessons are available ONLINE or in person, both privately or in groups, with a flexible schedule. Languages: English, Ukrainian, Russian, Italian

Andrii is an amazing teacher. He really helped my daughter improve her technique, artistry and confidence in ballet. He is also very supportive and inspiring to talk to. I highly recommend his classes.
Andrii is an exceptional ballet teacher with a rare ability to work with both technical precision and deep sensitivity to the individual dancer. He has a clear, thoughtful way of explaining concepts so they truly land, even for young students, while never sacrificing classical standards.
What sets Andrii apart is how quickly he sees what a dancer needs — strength, placement, musicality, or confidence — and how intentionally he builds those skills step by step. His corrections are exact, encouraging, and always purposeful.
My child has shown noticeable improvement in posture, coordination, and focus after working with him, and just as importantly, she leaves class feeling motivated and proud of her progress. Andrii creates a calm, disciplined, and respectful environment that brings out the best in his students.
I would highly recommend Andrii to families seeking serious, high-quality ballet training grounded in classical technique and thoughtful instruction.
Andrii is a great teacher. He helped me a lot with both my technique and my overall understanding of dance. I highly recommend his classes, whether you are a beginner (like me) or a more advanced professional. He has so much to share.
Andrii is an incredible teacher with lots of expertise. He truly listens to each student’s needs and knows how to guide them toward improvement.
