About Anna

Hi! I’m Anna Sargsyan, a competitive chess player and active coach with years of international experience. Chess Achievements 2025 U.S. Women's Vice-Champion – finished 2nd at the U.S. Women’s Championship Selected to represent Team USA at the 2025 World Team Chess Championship Member of the Armenian Women’s National Chess Team (2018–2025), representing Armenia in numerous international competitions Competed in multiple Olympiads, and European Team Championships, World Team Championships Joined Webster University’s elite chess program, training alongside world-class grandmasters

About the lesson

My lessons usually focus on three key areas of improvement: openings, middlegames, and endgames. Since each session is one hour, we may not always cover all three every time—but we always prioritize what will benefit your growth the most.
For the opening stage, I include model games played in the same lines you’re studying. This helps you understand the ideas behind the positions, not just memorize moves, and it naturally improves both your positional understanding and tactical awareness.
I also give personalized homework after each lesson. I strongly encourage students to complete it, because true improvement comes from combining structured lessons with your own practice.
