About Benedict
I have been a professional freelance musician for 5 years now, after graduating from the University of Birmingham. I work regularly with four choirs, and until recently an orchestra too. I sing professionally, having worked at the Birmingham Cathedrals and Magdalen College Oxford.
I have taught music for a while now, and absolutely love helping people find joy in music, learn lots, and push themselves and their understanding. It's a real passion of mine to inspire people through music and music education.
Previous and current students have passed high level exams, received commendations in competitions, and have gained places in notable ensembles.

My lessons have been described as fun, engaging and encouraging, and I pride myself on supporting my students with whatever they need to learn to the best of their abilities. I tailor every lesson to each specific student based on what they've already learnt and what their goal is, and constantly find new and exciting ways to teach and help pupils achieve their potential. I have found that pupils learn best when the lessons are interactive and flexible to suit each person specifically.
I have had 7 years of teaching and coaching experience, and 9 years of conducting experience, working with hundreds of musicians each week.
I teach conducting, singing, music theory, score preparation, and academic music (both GCSE and A Level music). My lessons can be a flexible length to suit the pupil's needs.
