About Sabrina

With a degree in theatre performance, almost 10 years teaching experience in NYC , and a passion and commitment to living a mindful and well balanced life, I am thrilled for the opportunity to bring my knowledge and expertise to you (or your young dancer) - no matter where in the world you may be! One of the biggest honors of my teaching career has been providing free dance classes to title one schools across Manhattan and Brooklyn (DMF) to students living under or at the poverty line. This experience has ignited a mission: to bring high quality dance/ theatre education to everyone who seeks it, no matter location, background, or economic status. No matter who you are, what you look like, or where you come from, I am the dance teacher for you. With a commitment to not only bringing out the best dancer you can be, but the best person you can be. No Sabrina Kalman dance class is complete without mindfulness, SEL, meditation, etc.
I am so excited to start working with you or your young dancer and bear witness to just how far you can soar!

About the lesson

- I believe Dance education is the entry point to developing strong, compassionate, dedicated, and resilient humans.
- I have a holistic approach to Dance education, prioritizing mental health, mindfulness and building confidence in ADDITION to building strong technique.
- Every student receives a program unique to them in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap (or any combination of the above)
- A typical lesson includes a full body warm-up, technique exercises, performance and musicality based exercises, and choreography. Lesson length varies from 45 min to 2 hours based on age and ability
- Our goals and focus in class is always a collaboration and based on free flowing and open communication between student/parent and myself
- Appropriate for children of all ages and beginner level adults.
