About Zion
For the last 11 years, I have enjoyed teaching flute to students from school to college. My passion for education motivates me to create lessons that are engaging, practical, and enjoyable. I believe every student has unique strengths, and I adapt my teaching methods to suit their learning style.
My classes include breathing exercises, posture correction, finger techniques, rhythm, scales, tone development, articulation, and expressive playing. One of the greatest rewards of my career has been seeing students become confident performers through regular practice and encouragement.
Besides flute, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, beginner improvisation, and performance preparation. My goal is to help students build strong musical foundations and enjoy music for a lifetime.

My teaching philosophy is to help students enjoy every step of learning the flute. I teach using Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity because these qualities build confident and disciplined musicians.
Lessons begin with breathing control, posture, rhythm, note reading, finger placement, and tone quality. Students then improve articulation, scales, ornamentation, improvisation, musical interpretation, and stage performance.
Motivation encourages students to celebrate every achievement. Communication remains friendly, making lessons easy to understand. Integrity ensures honesty, respect, patience, and equal opportunities for every learner.
Creative methods include favorite songs, listening practice, rhythm activities, ear training, duet performances, classical pieces, and simple composition exercises. Along with flute, I teach recorder, beginner keyboard, music theory, sight reading, rhythm development, and performance coaching.
