About Whit
Teaching flute has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. During my 16 years of teaching, I have guided school and college students through every stage of their musical journey. My lessons are designed to make learning comfortable, enjoyable, and rewarding.
Students begin with breathing exercises, posture, scales, finger placement, rhythm, and tone production before progressing to musical expression and stage confidence. I believe every student deserves encouragement and personal attention.
Watching learners improve and perform confidently has been one of my proudest achievements. Besides flute, I also teach music theory, ear training, sight reading, rhythm exercises, music appreciation, and beginner improvisation.
My goal is to inspire students to enjoy music while becoming skilled and confident performers.

Every student learns differently, so I personalize every flute lesson to suit individual needs. My teaching methodology is based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to provide meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences.
Students first develop breathing techniques, posture, finger coordination, note reading, rhythm, and tone production. Advanced lessons include articulation, scales, dynamics, improvisation, expression, and stage performance.
Motivation encourages students to practice consistently with confidence. Communication helps students understand lessons through demonstrations and clear explanations. Integrity creates a positive classroom built on honesty and mutual respect.
Creative learning includes favorite songs, rhythm challenges, ear training, listening practice, duet performances, musical games, and concert preparation. Along with flute, I teach recorder, music theory, beginner keyboard, sight reading, rhythm practice, and music appreciation.
