About Livia

I'm a professional illustrator with a Master's in Visual Communication from the Royal College of Art in London, the world's leading institution for art and design. I specialise in creating editorial illustrations for international media outlets, such as the New York Times and the New Yorker. I have experience conducting workshops and teaching creative classes in higher and secondary education.

About the lesson

My lessons are aimed at anyone interested in illustration or wanting to enrich their creative practice. I'll teach you how to develop your personal style through targeted activities; I'll provide references and inspiration; and we'll explore traditional, digital, and hybrid techniques. There are endless approaches to image-making! We'll work on developing ideas and projects, enjoying our creative research, and setting concrete goals. We'll do exercises to address and understand the industry's challenges, always with a fun twist. If requested, we'll learn how to promote your work and contact potential clients and collaborators, and we'll focus on creating a professional portfolio, developing the skills needed to take your passion to the next level. Lessons will be customised based on your level of experience and interests. During my studies and in my work, I've learned the importance of nurturing personal inclinations; there's no 'wrong' way to draw. The originality of a work and its message are more important than anatomical accuracy! Whatever your starting point, I've been there too, and I'm excited to work with you to reach your goals!
