About Vashu
I am a professional pianist, keyboardist and music educator with 17 years of formal musical training, currently preparing for the LTCL (Licentiate of Trinity College London) performance diploma.
Alongside my classical piano training, I have completed Trinity Rock & Pop Keyboard examinations up to Grade 8 with Distinction, giving me a strong foundation in keyboard technique, contemporary repertoire, harmony, accompaniment and practical musicianship.
My experience extends beyond examinations and teaching. I have worked as a keyboardist for professional bands, session keyboardist and performing musician, as well as performing as a pianist and accompanist in formal concert settings. I have served as an official accompanist for music societies at multiple colleges of the University of Delhi, including Lady Shri Ram College and Jesus and Mary College.
I have performed with Candlelight Concerts by Fever, at international academies and concerts, and at events including a United Nations Holocaust Remembrance and Education programme. I have also received a full scholarship to the Mozarteum University Salzburg International Summer Academy in 2024 and 2025, and won Second Prize and Special Mention at the Princess Lalla Meryem International Piano Competition in 2025.
My teaching combines the discipline of classical piano training with the practical skills required to actually play keyboard in real musical situations — whether that means performing, accompanying a singer, playing with a band, learning songs, understanding chords or preparing for a Trinity examination.

Learn keyboard from a performing pianist and professional keyboardist
My keyboard lessons are designed for students who want to become genuinely capable musicians, rather than simply memorize songs.
I teach both piano and keyboard, adapting the approach according to the student's instrument, age, level and goals.

Coordination, touch, articulation, hand independence and control.
Songs & Repertoire
Learn songs you actually enjoy while developing the technical and musical skills to play them confidently.
Chords & Harmony
Understand chord structures, progressions, inversions and how to use them practically when playing.

Learn how to accompany singers and other musicians, play from chord symbols and develop practical ensemble skills.
Improvisation & Playing by Ear
Develop listening skills and learn to find melodies, harmonies and musical ideas without relying entirely on written notation.

Music notation, rhythm, sight-reading, ear training and musical understanding.

Structured preparation for Trinity examinations, including repertoire, technical development and performance requirements.

For children and beginners, I make lessons structured and engaging while building proper technique and musicianship from the beginning.

Vashu sir is one of the best young pianists in India, as of now. With a number of prizes to his name, be it national or international competitions, he stays grounded and humble.
He understands the students very well and customizes the lesson plans based on their strengths and weaknesses.
Vashu sir does not promise immediate results, but if one follows his method of practice diligently, then I'm sure that person would see major improvement in a couple of months. His sound knowledge of music theory is an added advantage because he breaks down each composition and explains exactly why the composition sounds that way.
