About Kenn
I’m a working artist with more than 20 years of experience in murals, decorative and scenic painting, illustration, mixed-media assemblage, woodcarving and special-event fabrication. My work combines traditional skills with experimentation, found materials and imaginative problem-solving. I enjoy helping people discover what makes their own work distinctive while giving them practical techniques they can use immediately. I believe art develops through curiosity, close observation and the willingness to keep working when the first solution is not the right one.

My lessons are practical, flexible and shaped around each student’s interests and goals. We begin by looking at what you want to create, then work through demonstrations, guided practice and constructive critique. I teach drawing, painting, color, composition, texture, mixed-media construction and creative problem-solving. Beginners are welcome, and experienced artists can bring works in progress when they need a fresh eye or help overcoming a technical obstacle.
