About Jack
Jack has been a professional working musician for 3 years, having been playing bass and guitar for 13 years. He graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a 1st class BA(Hons) degree in Popular Music. Jack is a staple of the Glasgow independent music scene; notable projects he has worked with include Lizzie Reid, Ruby Gaines, Quiche, and his main project ‘The Joy Hotel’, an increasingly popular independent band based in Glasgow. Their album set for release in summer 2024, was recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, Wales where Freddie Mercury penned ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, and where Oasis recorded their sophomore ‘What’s the Story, Morning Glory?’. This summer, they are booked to play Transmt, The Great Escape, Reeperbahn, and Twisterella to name only a handful of the festivals booked in 2023.
