About Sumei
I am a professional freelance singer, regularly performing as a soloist and choral singer across the UK and abroad. Recent highlights include a 2-week tour of France, featuring as soprano soloist for an August performance of the Mozart Requiem in Paris, concerts in Oslo, Norway with Polyphony (voted 2nd best choir in the world by Gramophone magazine), and touring Germany and recording in Paris with The Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge (voted 5th best choir in the world). I have reviews for recordings I have featured on by BBC Music Magazine and Opera Today. I hold ARSM diplomas in flute and singing, and Grade 8 with Distinction in flute, piano and singing. I have 3 years' experience teaching Music Theory up to Grade 5, with all my students gaining a Distinction.

Our lessons will be tailored towards your specific needs. If you are working towards a specific grade (ABRSM, Trinity or any others!), then our lessons will have a focus on this. In our introductory lesson, we will establish and set goals going forward. We will make sure that the groundwork principles are very solid, as a strong consolidation in these will make theory easier the further you progress. I have experience teaching theory up to Grade 5 level, with all my students gaining a Distinction. Please feel free to contact me with your particular needs.

Details
I charge £30/h, or £20/half hour. If you would like a custom time, I am willing to discuss prices. I offer a free 30 minute discussion and lesson - this is so that we can get to know each other and establish exactly what it is you want help with. If you choose to book a set of lessons in advance, 5h will cost £140, and 10h will cost £270.
