About Kira

I am 24 years old and originally from Austria (with an Italian mum). I've been living in the UK for the last 4 years and am currently studying actor musicianship in Leeds. After I finished school at a music secondary school in Vienna I spent half a year in South America volunteering at a local school. My first diploma I got in songwriting at the Vienna Music Institute. I've been playing musical instruments since I was seven and am proud to say that I have a lot of experience as a musician. Whether it's playing lead alto saxophone in a big band or singing in a cathedral with a choir. I can play the saxophone, bass guitar, piano, trumpet, guitar and banjo. Right now I am excited to be starting my career as an entertainer and can hopefully share some of my skills with you.:)

About the lesson

I have been learning music theory since I was 12 and have been struggling with understanding intervals or what a Dorian scale is for a long time. But with growing up I truly learned to love it! I have been working as a musician, songwriter and composer for most of my life now and when it comes to music theory there is only very little where I cannot help you with. If you are looking for someone to just go over the basics with you or want to full on analyse an opera. I am your girl! There are so many different angles to look at a piece of music and to me there is no greater joy than to find that deeper meaning. Did you know that Beethoven somewhat accidentally led us to film music as we know it now? Or that Leonard Cohen is describing the music he is playing with his lyrics in "Hallelujah"? You need someone to talk about music? Just text me and I am excited to help you out!
