About Cristina

Hi there! I'm Cristina and as a language teacher, my ultimate goal is to show the world that Spanish doesn't have to be a boring or difficult language to learn.

I'm a professional translator and interpreter with extensive international teaching experience. I am also a certified bilingual speaker (my mother tongue is European Spanish and I've been awarded a C2 level Cambridge certification), and I've been formally trained in language teaching methodology.

I also like reading, old school British comedy, martial arts, hanging out with my friends & my cat, and cooking/baking.

About the lesson

I have more than 10 years teaching experience, and I have yet to meet a student who could not achieve their learning goals with the right method and a positive teacher-student relationship. I've had students who'd failed Spanish for years before they met me-- and that's because their learning needs were not being taken into account!

I offer the following services:

►Tutoring for primary school, secondary school, college, SATs, A levels, university, and independent students
►Official exam preparation (DELE, SIELE)
►Job interview preparation
►Speaking practice & accent reduction
►Assistance with redacting and proofreading documents in Spanish (fees may vary - NO SCHOOL ASSIGNMENTS!)
►Courses for expats: are you thinking of moving to Spain, or already live there and you're struggling with the language and culture? Get help from a native teacher so that you can start your new life with confidence in your Spanish skills!
►Spanish book and film club! I regularly organise viewing and reading activities for my students that help them learn Spanish while having a good time.

My classes are always individual/in reduced group settings (up to 3 members) to allow for greater tailoring to your educational needs.

I cannot recommend Christina enough - our sessions have been engaging, easy to manage and really good fun. The lessons were customised to fit what I needed and it has been hands down the best tutoring I’ve ever received as I feel my Spanish has improved significantly. I’m going to miss our lessons a lot as I'm going back to the UK for the time being but I know in the future if I need help with Spanish again I will go to Christina for help!
