About Angelique
Hi I'm Angelique! I'm a professional singer, vocal coach, songwriter and teacher, with vocal training from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and my wonderful opera teacher back home. I'm currently a tutor on the Short courses programme at the Royal Conservatoire for musical theatre as well as giving private weekly lessons with both children and adults.
At the core of all my teaching, I aim to help students connect with their authentic selves by becoming more deeply in tune with their voices and inner confidence.

We start with a free initial consultation, a chance for us to meet and talk about your goals. We'll go through a few exercises, and if you like, you can sing me a short section of something of your choice.
From there, we build a plan together. My approach is holistic: we use the whole body to support the singing voice, so you can find strength, control and freedom. We'll also explore the mind-body connection, because the mind affects our voices far more than we realise!
Lessons follow a 50/50 approach. We spend the first half building your technique and working on any areas of your voice that might be causing difficulties, then the second half applying it to a song. We work on one song at a time, and I'm happy to suggest repertoire or be led by you.
Along the way, we'll build character and performance confidence, because having fun is always the most important thing! I'll also give structured exercises so you can practise between sessions to solidify the work we've done.
