About Lily

My interest in programming began when I wrote my first simple script as a teenager and realized how empowering it felt to create something from pure logic and creativity. That early spark led me to pursue a B.Tech in Computer Engineering, where I explored algorithms, systems, software design, and problem-solving in greater depth. For the past 7 years, I have taught programming to students of all ages, helping them build confidence as they learn to think logically and express ideas through code. My teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, clarity, and genuine enthusiasm for helping students grow. I believe each learner benefits from explanations that fit their pace, their questions, and their personal way of understanding. Whether a student is learning basic syntax or tackling challenging algorithms, I provide structured guidance, real-world parallels, and steady encouragement to help them succeed. My warm and supportive approach allows students to build confidence step by step without feeling overwhelmed. Outside of teaching, I enjoy creating personal coding projects, studying new programming languages, and exploring innovative teaching methods that help students learn more effectively. Helping learners develop independence, curiosity, and a sense of accomplishment in programming is the part of my work that brings me the most joy.

Computer programming becomes engaging and approachable when students understand why each concept matters and how it fits into real applications. My lessons begin with the fundamentals—what a program is, how computers interpret instructions, and why logic matters. Students learn essential concepts such as variables, loops, conditionals, functions, input-output handling, and simple debugging strategies. I guide learners through small, practical exercises that help them build confidence as they see their code come to life through simple animations, text interactions, or short routines.

As students progress, they begin working with more structured programming ideas, including data structures, arrays, dictionaries, lists, modular design, and clean coding practices. At this stage, learners start completing small projects that reinforce creativity, experimentation, and deeper understanding. They learn how to structure code for clarity, how to break larger tasks into smaller steps, and how to correct mistakes in a calm, organized way. My goal is to help students develop logical thinking that supports long-term learning in any programming language.

Advanced lessons guide learners into object-oriented programming, algorithmic thinking, problem-solving efficiency, and real-world applications. Students explore multi-file projects, pattern recognition, software planning, and strategies used in technical interviews. By connecting lessons to meaningful examples, I ensure each student understands not only what to code but why each concept matters in real scenarios.
