About Jeming
Hey there! I'm currently a Software Engineer at Atlassian, Australia's biggest technology company. I recently graduated from UNSW with a combined Bachelor's in Commerce and Computer Science.
I've had previous experience as a university tutor for UNSW's computer science courses, as well as past internships as a Software Engineer at Atlassian, Macquarie Group and Optus. As someone who has experience applying for internships & graduate roles and working in industry, I'm also happy to offer university or career advice to aspiring Software Engineers/Developers :)
As someone who only started programming in my first year of university and initially found it very difficult, I understand the struggle that students go through when first starting off. I hope to share my learnings with you through fun and interactive lessons rather than giving a boring lecture, and will aim to break down difficult concepts into easy-to-digest information that will take you from zero to hero in programming!

I offer lessons for beginner to intermediate programmers of all ages that will help you learn popular programming languages: Java, HTML/CSS & JavaScript or TypeScript and Kotlin.
Our first lesson will involve understanding your programming knowledge and figuring out what you need help with or what you want to learn. Further lessons will involve either me assisting with what you need help with, or me teaching you new topics that you wish to learn. If you’re ever unsure about what you want to learn next, I have pre-prepared structured topics that I’ll be able to teach as well!
I specialise in Java and HTML/CSS with JavaScript or TypeScript, and have numerous practical exercises in those languages that you can do to further develop your understanding. For slightly more experienced programmers, I am also able to teach you how to develop both the frontend and backend of your own website!

Jeming was my tutor for a computer science object-oriented programming course at UNSW. He's super friendly and his lessons are engaging and interactive. The lessons included both a theory component as well as a practical component where we could apply our knowledge.
Jeming explains programming concepts very well and starts with the basics first before moving onto more complex topics. He is a very patient and empathetic teacher who always comes prepared for the lesson.
