About Malveena

As someone with a background in psychology and a deep passion for supporting young people, I want to share a bit about why I’m here to help you. I’ve spent time working in schools as a **Youth Mentor** and **SEND Support Worker**, where I’ve had the privilege of supporting students with a range of emotional, psychological, and academic needs. Through these experiences, I've learned how important it is to understand each student as an individual and tailor my approach to meet their unique needs. I have a **BSc in Psychology**, which has equipped me with a strong understanding of human development, behaviour, and mental health. This knowledge helps me approach teaching in a way that takes into account not only your academic growth but also your emotional well-being. I truly believe that to succeed in school, it's essential to feel supported and understood, and that’s exactly what I aim to do. In addition to my studies, I’m currently undergoing training as a **volunteer counsellor at Childline** and have worked in various roles providing emotional support to children and young people. These experiences have taught me how to listen actively, offer support without judgement, and be there for others in difficult times. I’m committed to creating a classroom environment where you feel safe to express yourself, ask questions, and take risks in your learning. My goal is not just to help you achieve academically but to support you as a whole person. Whether you’re struggling with learning, emotional regulation, or even just adjusting to school life, I’m here to help guide you through those challenges. I’ve learned how to work under pressure, be adaptable, and adjust my approach to fit the needs of each student, and I’m excited to bring those skills into the classroom. My experience, combined with my love for psychology, makes me eager to help you grow into your best self, both inside and outside the classroom.
