About Me
I am Jeybarathy, a Psychology Lecturer with a strong passion for teaching, counseling, and applied psychological learning. I aim to make psychology meaningful by connecting theoretical concepts with real-world experiences, practical skills, and evidence-based perspectives.
My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and application-oriented, encouraging learners to think critically, develop professional skills, and understand psychology beyond textbooks. I am committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, question, and grow as future psychology professionals.
With experience across psychology education, psychological assessment, counseling, and training, I strive to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional practice while maintaining ethical and professional standards.

My Teaching Approach
I believe psychology is best learned when students can connect theories and concepts to real-life human behaviour. My teaching approach combines clear conceptual explanations with practical application, discussion, case studies, activities, and real-world examples.
A typical class begins with a simple introduction or thought-provoking question, followed by an explanation of the core concept. I then connect the topic with practical examples, psychological cases, and interactive discussions to help students understand how the concept works beyond textbooks. Depending on the topic, I also use role plays, demonstrations, questioning, and problem-solving activities.
My special focus is on making complex psychological concepts simple without losing their academic depth. Rather than encouraging students to memorise definitions, I help them understand the reasoning behind theories and apply psychological concepts to everyday situations.
My classes are suitable for psychology students at the college and university level, beginners interested in psychology, and learners preparing for psychology-related examinations. I also adapt my teaching style according to the learner’s level, goals, and pace.
